☮ pros:
>great results
>low cost (mine was $8 on Amazon)
>small (not bulky like a macro lens)
>attaches to whatever lenses you may have (I have Canon's 18-55 mm kit lens so that's what I'm assessing this with)

☠ cons:
>cannot control f-stops
>not very sturdy (entire lens is being held on by that thing you usually use to control the focal range- 2 hands is suggested)
>difficult to remove (if you have no muscles like me)
>focusing is difficult/awkward (cannot autofocus- all manual and reverse from normal)
>you have to get ridiculously close to EVERYTHING (probably just my lens though; but if you have that lens, prepare to make some peeps reeeeaaalllyyyy uncomfortable)
>you can be jumped by small insects and throw your $400 camera that you thought was around your neck across a paved driveway, which somehow survived with just a few small scratches to the body
